Meet Dr. Victoria A. Blackhurst
Victoria A. Blackhurst, DDS, MBS

Dr. Victoria A. Blackhurst earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery at the Medical College of Virginia, VCU School of Dentistry. Following dental school, Dr. Blackhurst completed her residency training in periodontics and dental implant surgery at Tufts University in Boston, MA. She was elected to serve as Chief Resident for the final year of residency and upon graduation earned her Post-Doctoral Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Periodontology. During residency and for several years thereafter, she had the opportunity to join a private practice where she provided periodontal and implant services.
Dr. Blackhurst earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of South Carolina and received her Master of Biomedical Science in Pharmacological Sciences at Rutgers University. Dr. Blackhurst is originally from the Delaware Valley and has since moved back to live and practice near her family. She has extensive experience in gum grafting, bone grafting, implant placement and related procedures, regenerative therapy, sinus elevation, and non-surgical and surgical gum disease treatment.
Dr. Blackhurst has also served on many local and international service projects that provide dental care to patients in often remote areas with limited access to medical and dental care. Project locations include Panama, Jamaica, Louisiana, Appalachia, and more. Dr. Blackhurst believes every patient’s periodontal needs are extremely unique. She believes thoughtful, personalized therapeutic care and guidance are necessary to ensure long term success for her patients.
