Steven L. Atlas, DMD

Dr. Steven L. Atlas received his B.S. from Temple University School of Allied Health Sciences in 1986. He graduated with a D.M.D. degree from Temple University School of Dentistry in 1990, where he received numerous honors and awards. He continued and completed his Post-Doctorate certificate in periodontics at Temple University in 1992.
Professional Career
Dr. Atlas was an associate clinical professor in the Department of Periodontics at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and an attending doctor and faculty in the Department of Surgery at the Dental Care Center at the Medical College of Pennsylvania. He served as one of the specialists providing Single Day Dentistry, performing multiple surgical procedures in one day at both the Medical College of Pennsylvania and Bryn Mawr Hospital.
Dr. Atlas was the first periodontist in Chester County to become board certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. Dr. Atlas is a Fellow in the American College of Dentists. Selection to this prestigious Fellowship reflects exceptional leadership, achievements, and involvement in the dental profession and in the community. Dr. Atlas has been voted by his peers as top periodontist of the Main Line for over the past 15 years.
Additionally, Dr. Atlas is a past president of the Delaware Valley Academy of Osseointegration, along with being an active member in the following organizations

Additional Specialties
In addition to the treatment of periodontal diseases, Dr. Atlas specializes in dental implants and implant reconstructions. He is certified in numerous systems and he has been placing implants successfully for more than 25 years.
Dr. Atlas regularly attends continuing education courses and has lectured for many dental study groups to promote further understanding of cutting edge technologies. Dr. Atlas’s comprehensive knowledge gives him the expertise needed to provide all current nonsurgical and surgical therapies.
